Building Blocks Winter 2023

This class meets in person in the afternoons at In Between Stitches in Livermore, CA.

Class Description:

Building Blocks was created to move the new knitter beyond the basics by introducing the major knitting techniques in a systematic approach. Each block builds upon the skills of the previous block, allowing the knitter to gain confidence and knowledge while working toward a beautiful sampler blanket.

This class will meet once a month for 7 months.

This class spans 7 months. Once a month, we will meet in the classroom to start and learn to knit your two blocks for the month. You will have a whole month to work on finishing your blocks at your pace. For most of you, that will still give you plenty of time to work on other projects or take other classes. Since we will be working on two blocks each month, we will have finished the instruction for all the blocks in the blanket after month 6. In the final class in month 7, you will be learning block placement and seaming them together, and doing a little show and tell of all your beautiful blocks.

Class Level:

Adventurous Beginner and beyond. You should know how to Knit and Purl and do a Long Tail Cast On while using circular needles.
